Mr. Matthew Wentzell
Bio '09
This is Mr. Matt Wentzell’s first year teaching at Excell Academy. Mr. Wentzell studied Spanish and History at the University of Minnesota and received his K – 12 ESL License from Hamline Graduate School of Education in May 2008. He taught East African students at a high school this summer. At Excell, Mr. Wentzell helps students improve their reading, writing, and grammar skills.
Mr. Wentzell was born in Houston, Texas, and moved to Minnesota when he was six years old. He grew up in New Brighton, but now Mr. Wentzell lives in Saint Paul with his wife. They are expecting their first baby on February 22, 2009 ( a girl! ). His brother lives in the house right next to Mr. Wentzell. He enjoys playing soccer and doing home improvement projects. Mr. Wentzell also loves to go camping and canoeing down rivers in Northern Canada every summer.
