Bio
Mr. Steven Williams is originally from Chicago, Illinois, and a true BEARS fan...BEAR DOWN!!! Mr. Williams is married with two children, 19 and 17. His older of the two is currently enrolled at Iowa State University, and the younger at De La Salle High School.
Mr. Williams is a graduate of Langston University in Langston Oklahoma, where he played basketball. He will also be completing his Master's of Education by the Fall of 2009.
Upon graduation, Mr. Williams entered the 9-5 world as a Data Analyst at the American Hospital Association. He, thereafter, worked as a Contract Administrator in the Defense Ministry. He is also an experienced Bus Driver through the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA). Coming from a family of educators, his uncle was one of the first African Principles in Minneapolis, as well as Dean at the Minneapolis Community Technical College (MCTC) and Mc McAllister University in St. Paul, Minnesota. He also has numerous family members that are teachers and administrators in Minnesota, Illinois, Iowa, and Texas.
Mr. Williams' teaching career began 9 years ago with the Minneapolis Public Schools. For the past 6 years, he has been teaching at Excell Academy. During this period of time, Mr. Williams has taught 5th and 6th grades. He is currently teaching 5th, 6th and 7th grade math.
Mr. Williams believes Education is a life long process, and should be challenging, interesting and fun. It is with these concepts that he looks forward to each day at Excell Academy.
